OVER 75% OF STEMHOUSE STUDENTS GOT ADMITTED TO NGUYEN HUU THO SECONDARY SCHOOL (DISTRICT 7) 2024-2025

The 6th grade entrance exam for key schools is one of the exams that attracts the attention of many parents whose children are preparing to enter secondary school. The 2024-2025 school year is the first year that the Department of Education and Training of District 7 conducts the enrollment of 6th grade students at Nguyen Huu Tho Secondary School through the ability assessment test. Entrance exam to grade 6 in the academic year 2024-2025

On June 23rd, 2024, the passing score for grade 6 admission to Nguyen Huu Tho Secondary School was announced to be set at 50.5 points. Enrollment will take place on June 30th and July 1st.

The 2024-2025 school year is the first year that the Department of Education and Training of District 7 conducts enrollment in grade 6 of Nguyen Huu Tho Secondary School through a competency assessment survey. The competency assessment survey consists of 2 sections:

• Multiple-choice section (30 minutes): 20 questions in English covering topics in natural science, social science, and general knowledge.
• Essay section (60 minutes) including:

English proficiency test: Reading comprehension, writing (candidates take the test in English).

Mathematical and logical thinking test (candidates take the test in Vietnamese).

Reading comprehension and writing test (candidates take the test in Vietnamese).

Remarkable results from Stemhouse students

The entrance exam attracted 1630 applicants for 500 available places, creating a highly competitive environment with the ratio of 1/3.3. Of the 70 Stemhouse students who took the exam, 53 students (about 75%) were admitted. The highest score among these successful students was 89 points, almost 40 points above the passing mark.

To excel in the interdisciplinary English entrance exam, students should start preparing as early as grade 4 to develop necessary skills and knowledge to stand out among thousands of candidates. A structured learning approach and consistent practice are essential for building a strong foundation.
